Connectar a una xarxa de cable (Ethernet)
Per a configurar la majoria de les connexions de xarxa per cable, tot el que cal fer és connectar un cable de xarxa. La icona de la xarxa cablejada (
) es mostra a la barra superior amb tres punts mentre s'estableix la connexió. Els punts desapareixen quan està connectat.
If this does not happen, you should first of all make sure that your network cable is plugged in. One end of the cable should be plugged into the rectangular Ethernet (network) port on your computer, and the other end should be plugged into a switch, router, network wall socket or similar (depending on the network setup you have). The Ethernet port is often on the side of a laptop, or near the top of the back of a desktop computer. Sometimes, a light beside the Ethernet port will indicate that it is plugged in and active.
No podeu connectar un ordinador directament a una altra amb un cable de xarxa (si més no sense una configuració addicional). Per a connectar dos ordinadors, haureu de connectar-les a un concentrador de xarxa, a un encaminador o a un interruptor.
Si encara no esteu connectat, pot ser que la vostra xarxa no admeti la configuració automàtica (DHCP). En aquest cas haureu de configurar-ho manualment.
