Change the appearance of your desktop

You can change the look of things that appear on the screen by setting the style preference to light or dark. You can choose an image or wallpaper as your desktop background.

Light or Dark Style

To switch between light and dark desktop styles:

  1. Open the Activities overview and start typing Appearance.

  2. Click Appearance to open the panel. The currently selected style is shown at the top surrounded by a blue border.

  3. Click to choose Light or Dark.

  4. The setting is applied immediately.

Fondo

To change the image used for your background:

  1. Ve al escritorio y empieza a escribir Fondo.

  2. Click Appearance to open the panel. The currently selected wallpaper is shown at the top in the preview for the current style.

  3. Hay dos formas de cambiar la imagen usada como fondo:

    • Haz clic en una de las imágenes de fondo que se incluyen con el sistema.

      Algunos fondos de escritorio cambian a lo largo del día. Estos fondos tienen un un pequeño icono de un reloj en la esquina inferior derecha.

    • Haz clic en Añadir imagen... para utilizar una de tus fotos. Por defecto, se abrirá la carpeta Fotos, ya que la mayoría de las aplicaciones de gestión de fotos almacenan las fotos ahí.

  4. La configuración se aplicará inmediatamente.

    Para establecer una de tus fotos como fondo, haz clic derecho sobre el archivo de imagen en Archivos y selecciona Establecer como fondo de pantalla o abre el archivo de imagen en el Visor de imágenes, haz clic en el botón de menú de la barra de título y selecciona Establecer como fondo de pantalla.

  5. Cambie a un área de trabajo vacía para ver el escritorio entero.
